Prohibited Items Policy

These policies are provided for your platform. Have a qualified attorney review them before relying on them for compliance purposes.

The following categories of items may not be listed on ToolLoop under any circumstances. This list is not exhaustive — we reserve the right to remove any listing that we determine is inappropriate, unsafe, or illegal.

Absolutely Prohibited

Weapons: Firearms, ammunition, knives designed as weapons, tasers, or any item primarily designed to cause harm
Illegal items: Any item whose possession, transfer, or use is illegal under federal, state, or local law
Hazardous materials: Items containing asbestos, lead paint, toxic chemicals, or other known health hazards without proper safety disclosure
Recalled products: Any item subject to an active safety recall that has not been remediated
Stolen property: Any item that is not lawfully owned by the listing Owner

Restricted Items (Require Additional Disclosure)

The following items may be listed but require accurate safety disclosure in the listing description:

Power tools with known maintenance needs or wear
Equipment requiring licensure or certification to operate (e.g., pressure vessels, certain electrical equipment) — must disclose requirements
Gas-powered equipment — must disclose fuel requirements and ventilation needs
Ladders and fall-risk equipment — must disclose weight limits and condition

What Happens to Prohibited Listings

We will remove prohibited listings without notice and may suspend the associated account. Repeated violations will result in permanent account termination. We cooperate with law enforcement regarding listings involving illegal activity.

If you believe a listing violates this policy, use the report option on the listing page or submit a report through our report form. Our team reviews reports as promptly as possible.
